Roles and Jobs!

Below are some jobs and roles that need taking up!

RECRUITMENT – Someone (Officer) Needs to start recruiting people and allowing them to settle into a house.

REPAIRMAN – We need a team of people to travel to all our locations frequently and look for griefing/etc. There job is to fix the said job.

ARMY- We need a strong army, so keep training and you may be recruited!

BUILDERS – We need a team of people to build medieval houses! Apply by asking an in-game officer!

Listen Up!

Dovahkiin is in a stage where members are becoming inactive due to the lack of support from its higher authority. To amend this matter, I have planned a few helpful lists which will help us to become active again.

Griefing – People do not know what this word means. Dovahkiin has only come this far with loyalty from its members. To make sure that everyone knows what is expected of them, please read the below:

Griefing is punishable and ban-able. We see griefing as – NOT replanting farming goods. This also counts if you jump on soil and turn it back into Dirt. If you do this, please get a hoe and fix it, or if you don’t have one mail an officer for them to fix it. Breaking into another members house is seen as a punishable offence. If you need to get into someone’s house, ask them! DO NOT build or place ANYTHING in the darkroom! The darkroom has taken a lot of time to make, so do not build ANYTHING in there. DO NOT build cobblestone boxes/dirt boxes! If you don’t think you can build in a medieval style, there are many of our members who are willing to help! Feel free to ask them!

Loyalty – Loyalty is the main reason that Dovahkiin still exists. Without it, we would not be here. We DO respect that people wish to move on, but we ask that you consider the following:

If you leave, make sure that ALL or your chests, doors, furnaces, gates and trap-door and clear of any DEADBOLT signs. The main thing that makes life hard is when you leave and leave the doors locked. This can take weeks to sort out, so please don’t do it. FEEDBACK is welcome! If you leave the faction, we’d love to know why! Another thing to keep in mind is that if you do leave, please MAIL an OFFICER to let us know you left. Factions are hard to manage so by doing this you save time and effort.

Houses – We request that you ask before building your house as we may have free houses for you. If you are unsure of how you can claim your house, feel free to ask or mail us in-game.

Dovahkiin Monthly Officer Meetings

Hello everybody

With Dovahkiin coming back into action I feel as if a good way to progress the faction is to hold monthly officer meetings to help organise and debrief on faction events.

this could include information on allies/enemies, recruitment, housing, defence, faction supplies etc

however doing so will require people to be on line so if officers could post on there best available times (probably on a weekend to avoid work/school complications) in the comments or contact me in game.

in feedback is greatly welcome!

New Ranking System?

Hello everyone

It has been some time since our last post, but rest assured, Dovahkiin is returning, more powerful than ever!

With this return, we wanted to create a simple to understand ranking system that everyone can be identified with without prior knowledge. Below is a rough idea of how it will be like.

King – There will only ever be 1 king. King Strider is Dovahkiins founder and great King.

Duke – Duke’s are very high up in the ranking order. Dukes work along side the King to maintain the faction and keep everyone happy within it. They have commanding rights over all lower ranks. This rank is not handed out randomly, and only the King is able to appoint this rank.

Lord  Lord is a person who has officer powers, and answers to its superiors. The role of Lord requires you to be active, and to keep the faction and its members up to date with news. Lord’s must answer to the King, but is able to keep Peasants under control. The lord’s must also help Dovahkiins global situation with allies/enemies.

Noble – Noble MUST be willing to spend most of there time in the faction. They must answer to all higher ranks, and must keep the Dovahkiin rules enforced. This rank is handed out to people who are seen doing good for Dovahkiin, and people who have been in the faction and been loyal to its cause.

Earl – Earl’s are members who have shown outstanding skill in 1 or more subjects. This is handed out to people who have shown courage, leadership skill and outstanding bravery.

Knight – Knights are faction members who are part of the Dovahkiin Army. To gain this rank, you must have completed basic training, and fought in 2 or more Dovahkiin battles.

DovahKul – A faction member, who is fully welcomed into the Dovahkiin family. They do not have any specific powers, but are free to roam and use all of Dovahkiins facilities.

Peasant – Newly recruited members will have this title. This means that they must train and will acknowledge the Dovahkiin rules. This rank is also for people who may have abused there role.

Any feedback is greatly welcome!

We are the Mighty Dovahkiin…

New City in New Ceardia?

A new land has been discovered (new map released), a human land. The Regalian Government has named it New Ceardia, very creative.
New lands always present many opportunities, there are fresh claims to be made, there is beautiful untouched terrain and plenty of space! So should Dovahkiin start any development there? Do we have reason to or does anyone have any ideas or desires to govern a town there? Anything is possible!

Another News Article in relation to the new world:
Strangely enough since New Ceardia was discovered there has been a HUGE increase in the number of mining and excavation grandmasters in the world. Analysts have attributed this strange occurrence to the fact that there is not a single inch of flat land in the entire world of New Ceardia where people can build! Hence people have been slaving away mining or excavating to create flat land to build on. Great! =D I’ve been missing my daily dose of mining, haven’t you? Who could ever get sick of levelling terrain?

Ha ha there is some flat land in New Ceardia, I just found it funny that sooooo much of it was very steep hills or mountains. Isn’t the point of minecraft building, and there isn’t much space to do that. I think it’s massivecraft’s tactic to get people to play on the server more, give them more terrain levelling work to do. At least we wont have people should out “I’m bored” in global…
No, the map is very cool though, some spectacular landscapes great work to the mc team.

Dovahkiin’s King Speaks out…

Today at the stroke of midday, King strider made a faction announcement at Winterholds City Hall.

King: “Due to the high amount of threats we have come into contact with recently, I have decided to take certain measures to enforce that Dovahkiin can stand up against her enemies. Starting today, we are strongly enforcing measures to make sure that our faction can be once again mighty!”

**What does this mean?**

From now on, all new recruits must have the following to become a faction member:
– 100 Unarmed Skill
-100 Skill in any of the following:

This rule will be enforced greatly as it will help players to train and realize how important it is to be able to defend yourself. Every new member MUST have these skills to become a full member of Dovahkiin.

Member Recruitment

Hello all.
Just a quick note to say that Dovahkiin is in need of new Loyal members! We want people who are going to stay in Dovahkiin and be loyal to the faction. If you know anyone; friend or not, who is after a faction, please speak to King strider or any faction officer. We will then review them and try and find a bit more about them before recruiting them.

Thank you for your time

WAR ON VAMPIRES :General Marek’s Announcement

Outside the Winterhold barracks, a clambering crowd is waiting noisily. The snowstorm has already formed a white blanket around them, and is showing no signs of slowing. Despite this, the growing crowd seem undeterred. All of a sudden, the doors of the barracks swing open, and a great hush falls upon the crowd. Stood in front of them is a blond man; he is wearing a thin blue waistcoat and has a glowing sword swinging at his belt. The man seems unfazed by the extreme weather conditions that he is surrounded by and instead looks directly and confidently at the gathering. This man is General Marek Dredros, leader of Dovahkiin’s army and an experienced Vampire slayer. He clears his throat and begins to speak…

“Citizens of Winterhold! It has come to our attention that the waves of demonic activity in Regalia and across the other continents of Aloria are likely to have been endorsed and encouraged by the unearthly scum known as Vampires. It is important to understand that these beings are responsible for mass deaths throughout our lands. They split apart our families and feed on our children. They must be stopped. It is for those reasons, and for many others too horrendous to mention, that the mighty people of Dovahkiin have chosen to act! We, at the request of our mighty King Strider, hereby declare Vampires to be outlawed in all our towns and cities! Any Vampires caught on our property will be arrested and given a simple choice: Cure or Kill. I will personally lead this movement, and any true citizen who wishes to aid us can contact one of my representatives. It is vital to note that this is not a declaration of war against any faction or empire, and that we are simply outlawing Vampires in our territory. I thank you all for your support in these troubling times for this world, and would implore you to inform the fine soldiers of our army of any Vampires that you may be aware of!”

The General gives a brief bow, then pivots on one foot and strides back into the barracks. Great applause is given for this new movement and as the crowd disperse, the great steel doors of the Winterhold Barracks swing shut, sealing the great building from the harsh mountain winds…
